Currently, we are only accepting items on consignment for our online auctions. Auctions happen approximately once per month.
Information to Consign:
First, check out the local online auction website, AuctionNinja.com. This is where we stage our auctions. Many items listed consistently fetch high prices. You can find Dirty Work Vintage by searching under the auction houses on the site.
Depending on the quantity of pieces you have, we may be able to list them in a multi-consignor auction, or a single estate auction. As a general rule...
--If you are consigning less than 100 pieces, your items may be included in a multi-consignor auction -- meaning, your items would be included in the same auction with other consignor's items.
--If you are consigning more than 100 pieces, we could arrange a single estate auction (meaning, your items are the only items in the auction). Other names for this are an online estate sale, moving sale, clean-out sale, or downsizing sale (but for simplicity sake, we group these all together under the "single estate auction" category).
What We Will Do:
We will organize, stage, measure, describe, photograph, and store your items securely leading up to the auction. We will also handle marketing and promotion of the auction. Buyers guarantee bids with a credit card, and we handle the pickups for winning bids on auction day. That means no back-and-forth emails with no-show buyers, or strangers for you to deal with. We also offer shipping for smaller items nationwide to widen the circle of available buyers. In other words, we handle all of the logistics for you. We are insured, careful, friendly, and flexible.

-Single estate auctions will typically be handled from your home or business, with pickup on auction day organized from the most strategically convenient place at your home (garages are great for this, for example). But every scenario is unique, and we are prepared with other options to suit any need.
-For multi-consignor auctions, we may be able to pick up your accepted items, including furniture pieces, if you are local-ish.
What Kinds of Things Can Be Consigned:
You would be surprised how many things you probably have around your house that could be included in an auction. Even if they only fetch a small amount of money, we like to think it's better than dragging them to the dump, or worse yet, having them take up valuable space in your attic, garage, etc., when someone could be using them.
You would also probably be shocked about just how easy it is to gather the minimum 100 items for a single estate auction. Even tiny apartment clean-outs have yielded hundreds of great things for resale.
-Some things to consider consigning are: furniture, tools, baby and kids items and toys, art, bicycles, holiday decor, books, vinyl records and cassettes, magazines, rugs, pet items, pots and pans, dishes and china, flatware, tchotchkes and trinkets, jewelry, clothing, sports equipment, music memorabilia, religious items, taxidermy, appliances, vehicles, clocks, old medical and dental items, postcards, barware, art supplies, bed and table linens, patio and barbecue items, building materials and architectural salvage, advertising signs, costumes, ephemera (old bills of sale, handwritten letters, pamphlets), old photos, musical instruments, draperies, towels, leftover rolls of wallpaper, band t-shirts, large collections, electronics, oddities, and even (our favorite)...plants!
In other words, we can consider most anything, as long as it's legal. No guns.
